
Our Church




·1986 Holy Redeemer Church of God in Christ was established. A beautiful sanctuary was purchased within 8 weeks of the first service.
·1987 A church extension fund was established: thereby allowing Holy Redeemer to burn the mortgage of the new church.
·1988 A multi-level administrative training center was purchased, adjacent to the church, 1220 West Atkinson Avenue and was affectionately known as the “1220” building.
·1989 An institutional ministry was established which included but was not limited to, a GED preparation tutoring program, social concerns and a food pantry. Pastor Daniels was appointed by Catholic Arch Bishop to Central City School Board, (first non catholic appointee).
·1990 Established the first Pentecostal Christian Academy in the state of Wisconsin.
·1991 Established Holy Redeemer Bible Institute for adult training in various areas of Christian education.
·1992 Established Holy Redeemer Credit Union. The first Credit Union of Pentecostals in Wisconsin. Purchased 5 acre parcel for institutional and community development. This $3.5 million development would be the site of the Holy Redeemer Institutional Complex that would include a new church building, school, and retirement facility.
·1993 Established HR Academy – A partnership school with Milwaukee Public Schools.
·1994 Established C.O.G.I.C. Social Services, which addresses the concerns of the total person through professional counseling, therapy and training.
·1995 Purchased property for the establishment of the Dunbar-Blakely House – Domestic violence prevention ministry and shelter.
·1996 Established The Educational Possentem, and DJ Young Preparatory Academy. Acquired additional property for Senior Citizen’s Complex. Received numerous grants and tax credits for housing complex
·1997 Ground breaking for HR Housing Inc. Construction of New Worship Center.
·1998 Opened Holy Redeemer HR Housing. Dedication of the New Worship Center. Opened the Milwaukee African American Cultural Center, “MAAC” banquet center.
·1999 Established the Jeffrey Allen Carter Sr. Conference Center for community empowerment and family reunification.
·2000 Purchased 3 acre parcel for the establishment of the Mother Kathryn Daniels Conference Center.

·2001 Purchased 3 additional Heritage homes for Social Services Family Rehabilitation, and Shelters. Supt. Daniels elevated to Office of Jurisdictional Bishop.
·2002 Inauguration of Bishop Daniels for First Jurisdiction of Wisconsin.
·2003 Construction begins for The Mother Kathryn Daniels Youth Center. Presidential visit to Holy Redeemer showcasing our Faith-Based programs as a national prototype. Purchased additional land North of Hampton
·2004 Acquisition of “The Hamptons” at Bishop’s Creek.
·2010 Open Phase one of “The Hamptons” at Bishop’s Creek. – 55 unit appartments
·2011 Opened Phase two of “The Hamptons” at Bishop’s Creek. – The Towers,
·2012 Continued Global Mission
