The Department of Women of Holy Redeemer Institutional COGIC invites you to the 39th Annual Women’s Empowerment Brunch, a transformative gathering designed to inspire, equip, and uplift women of all ages. This year’s theme, “Her Purpose | Her Power | Her Path,” calls us to walk boldly in God’s calling, embrace our divine identity, and live courageously in today’s world.
About the Empowerment Brunch
For nearly four decades, Holy Redeemer Department of Women have brought hope and empowerment for women across Milwaukee and beyond. Rooted in prayer, worship, and teaching, the Women’s Empowerment Brunch brings together dynamic leaders, preachers, and sisters in Christ for a day of fellowship, encouragement, and transformation.
This year, we continue the legacy of equipping women to rise with strength, walk in their God-given authority, and step into the future with clarity and courage.
Presenters
Dr. Karri Bryant is a pastor, author, and entrepreneur who inspires others through her ministry and mentorship. A graduate of Morris Brown College, Emory University, and with a Doctor of Ministry earned in 2023, she is the founder of The NUDGE Mentorship Initiative, author of She’s Lit and Girl Bible, and owner of Shop180West. In 2024, she received the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for her service and leadership. Dr. Bryant now serves as First Lady of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta alongside her husband, Senior Pastor Jamal Bryant.

A licensed missionary in the Church of God in Christ who has faithfully served Holy Redeemer Church of God in Christ for many years. She has provided leadership across various facets of ministry, consistently guiding the congregation to greater heights. As the leader of the Women’s Department at Holy Redeemer, she passionately challenges women to live their best lives, walk boldly in their faith, and embrace the fullness of who God has called them to be.

Dr. Valerie Daniels-Carter is an entrepreneur, pastor, and trailblazer in women’s empowerment. She is co-founder and president of V&J Foods, one of the largest female-owned franchise companies in the U.S., operating over 100 restaurants across multiple states. A minority owner of the Milwaukee Bucks and a Green Bay Packers board member, she has broken barriers in business and sports. Beyond the marketplace, Dr. Daniels-Carter serves as a pastor at Holy Redeemer Church of God in Christ in Milwaukee, where she mentors women in leadership, faith, and service. Recognized nationally for her impact, she continues to inspire women to pursue excellence in business, ministry, and community empowerment.
