Meals in the Lords Kitchen

The Meals in the Lord's Kitchen (MILK) Ministry at Holy Redeemer Church is a beacon of hope and sustenance for those facing food insecurity in our community. Inspired by Jesus Christ's example of feeding the hungry and caring for the least among us, this ministry is dedicated to preparing and serving meals, as well as distributing food to individuals and families in need. Through compassion, service, and the sharing of resources, we aim to not only nourish bodies but also uplift spirits, embodying the love and generosity of Christ.

What We Do:

Meal Preparation and Service: Organize volunteer teams to prepare and serve nutritious meals at our church facilities, providing a warm and welcoming environment for all who come to dine.
Food Bank Operations: Operate a food bank that collects, organizes, and distributes food items to those in need, ensuring access to essential groceries and household supplies.
Community Outreach Dinners: Host special dinners during holidays and throughout the year, offering community members a place to enjoy a meal, fellowship, and support.
Nutrition and Cooking Workshops: Offer workshops on nutrition, budget-friendly cooking, and healthy eating habits, empowering individuals and families to make informed food choices.
Volunteer Engagement: Mobilize and train volunteers who are passionate about fighting hunger and serving their community, creating opportunities for service and ministry.
